Kate is passionate about and specializes in working with teens and adults to heal from anxiety and eating disorders and break free from addiction and negative body image. Kate practices an integrative approach to psychotherapy. Her style draws on many different therapeutic modalities including but not limited to humanistic and strength based, psychodynamic, mindfulness, trauma informed and cognitive behavioural therapy. Kate also works with couples utilizing techniques from the Gottman method and solution focused brief therapy to help partners repair their relationship. The most important aspect of Kate’s philosophy is to customize the treatment plan to each client’s unique needs and goals. For Kate, psychotherapy is more than just a profession; it's a calling she discovered early in life. Her motivation is deeply rooted in the profound transformations she witnesses in her clients, from struggle to flourishing, which she finds incredibly fulfilling.
